Day 3 Table banging

So yesterday (thursday) was a LONG day, had 6 meetings throughout. AND it was the Playoff game, now I'm going to be honest I don't LOVE sports which means I have not seen one game this whole season. But the Final game is always exciting and duh who doesn't wan't to be part of the fun? Around 8:40 Eamon and his friend Nate ( not the previous Nate that I know from LA) came to get me to go watch the game at a bar restaurant called Brinkleys on Broome and Centre. It was so fun, the place was packed, we were like sardines. I was lucky enough to have gotten there early, we had the best seats (yes we got chairs! haha) in the place right in front of the huge projector. My friend Becky came to watch the second half after she got off work and she got there at the perfect time, people were really starting to get into it. Anyways we all know how this ends..the LAKERS won! woooo The mix of people in the place was so amazing though so many boston fans! HA
And seeing as how I didn't go out any nights on this trip I decided that it was necessary! We went to some a weird little club underneath Brinkleys...NO GOOD. After about 20 minutes of torture we walked over to Kenmare, I didn't what it was but once we went downstairs and we saw people we knew it turned out to be SO fun!! As I was leaving I saw a bunch of people I know from LA outside just going in which I was bummed about but I knew I wouldn't wake up this morning if I stayed any later. All in All it was such a good night, and it was so nice to hang with Becky...one of the VERY FEW cool, nice, and drama free LA girls.

Day 2: My legs might fall off

Today I had 6 appointments, starting at 10 and one every hour after that. Each one was OF COURSE so far up town or downtown, and since cabs are a waste of money and slow due to traffic I resorted to the subway and walking. ( I had never taken the subway alone, and even with people I believe I've only been on it twice) The appointments went well, even with me acting like there was nothing wrong with my legs...when they felt like someone was stabbing knives into my shins. I need to wear running shoes if I'm going to be doing this much walking. FML The only period of time where I was able to sit down and not rush to another appt. was for 10 minutes and to eat lunch, which I packed myself 1. because I knew I wouldn't have time to stop for food, and 2. restaurants are untrustworthy! You think your getting a super healthy salad when really their dumping salt on it or lathering the "grilled" chicken with butter to make you actually like it, and come back. Around 4:30 I finally got back to the apartment, let my dead phone recharge and sprawled out on the couch while my feet throb. I went to Whole Foods on Houston...MOST AMAZING MARKET EVER. They have everything, even a fresh gourmet candy/chocolate counter which I drooling over. I cooked myself dinner and then got to see my friend Erin Kelly, who I have not seen in SO LONG. We went to a few stores on a mission to find me a plain tank-top/t-shirt for castings. I got to go to Uniqlo which is a company from japan that is like the gap, but super cheap..and I understood why, nothing fit right! Although they offer free alterations which is genius! But I didn't have the time to have them measure me and wait to pick it up in the morning. Overall I had a long tiring day. I am definitely going to sleep like a baby tonight!

NY Day 1

I got into NY last night and had too much to do before I went to bed. I was hoping to see people but after a long Duane Reade trip and slowly settling in, I only got to see one friend! This morning...I had set my alarm for 8:25 HA I got up when the alarm went off and somehow ended up back in bed and woke back up at 10:35..my first appointment was at 11. Thank god it was close to where I am staying I made it just in time. This afternoon in between appointments I stopped in Barnes and Noble to buy a new notebook and tried to find a new book too, but this past weekend my friend told me I should buy books on Amazon that is was super cheap. It totally killed the fun of looking for a new book. When I was done with everything for the day I met up with my good friend Eamon who recently moved out here from LA. We went to a juice bar, it was just like Beverly hills juice club..but they seemed to have much more variety. We then walked for a bit and decided to meet up with his friend Nate..whom I didn't know until we got there was another kid I knew from LA. For dinner I met up with Jim who I know through shooting DEliA*s, he works in their offices here and on shoots. We went to a cute little restaurant right up the street from where I'm staying. It had been a while since we've seen each other so it was amazing to catch up in person!

Palm Springs

The weather was amazing and it was definitely nice to relax outside of LA before I get on a flight tomorrow. The Ace was a pretty cool place to stay..Swam, saw my friend Tommy, hung out on our patio with a cute little fireplace, and enjoyed all the lovely music the totally awesome wedding DJ was blaring out front of the room till 11:30pm! This morning we decided to have breakfast at the Kings Highway which is the restaurant at the hotel..the breakfast options were not what we thought they'd be, so we decided to go to a funky diner called Elmer's across the highway. My friend got what I call a german pancake, but I'm sure I've got it wrong...it looked SO good and was about the same size as him. They have a similar thing at Quality in hollywood it is AMAZING, but unfortunately it is half the size!

Counting the days..

Don't be too jealous but that ^^^ will be me, lounging in the pool at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs this weekend. R&R has been calling my name..and yes I am aware that it is between 108-114 degrees there. That's why the Aveeno 70+ bottle will be glued to my hand seeing as how I will be outside swimming ALL day to keep cool...wrinkles are NOT cool under 35..or at any age but eventually we have to get them, unless were rich enough to pull our face back and sew that shit tight...IF ONLY!

Crack Eyes

I have loved these dolls since I was little, they are all so beautiful and interesting. For those who don't know, they are called BLYTHE dolls. Their main and most amazing feature are their LARGE eyes. I remember my younger sister got a limited edition ROXY Blythe as a gift one year and I was possibly the most jealous person ever. Some people find dolls creepy, and yes I can see how Blythe's can be creepy but they are just simply perfect to me. Big head, big eyes, petite nose, perfect little lips, and they all have stylish outfits and were ahead of the trend with the colored hair.

The other night I watched the movie An Education, It was so good! BUT I like the soundtrack even more. I've been listening to it all night, had to pause it though to watch Adam which I loved..so I recommend that as well, the soundtrack for it is also good! ( its only a few songs, but still good)
